Update May 2017. KAXY-FM is on air in Boundary County and has applied to be formally licensed by the FCC. Our broadcast equipment will require some fine tuning between now and when we move to Black Mountain this coming summer. In the meanwhile we will be actively pursuing a suitable Station location in Boundary County, as well as the required funding for ongoing operations. bonnersferrynews.com will soon be updated to accept pledges of support, one-time and ongoing donations, as well as the sale of KAXY merchandise!
Update May 16, 2017. Our application for tenancy on Black Mountain was accepted and approved by the translator district Board earlier today! We will plan to be on Black Mountain this coming summer!
Boundary County Community Television, a 401(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been granted a Construction Permit to build a broadcast facility in Bonners Ferry Idaho at the frequency of 98.3Mhz on the FM radio band, maximum power 100 watts. Broadcast transmission is expected to begin sometime in 2017.
