New Private Pilot Barry Wilson received a full scholarship to the United States Air Force Academy. Barry Wilson is a Sandpoint High School Senior who received his flight training from Northern Air in Bonners Ferry. In addition, Barry was also accepted into the U.S. Naval Academy; however, he has chosen to enroll in the Air Force Academy where he will continue in aviation. Wilson was the recipient of a scholarship from the Shep-Rock foundation which assisted with his post-solo flight training expenses. Barry worked hard to get his pilot certification completed during his spring break 2011 on schedule; which he did, despite a wet spring. Barry’s goal is to fly the Space Shuttle for NASA.
