Notice: The Panida Board of Directors has extended the deadline for Executive Director applications to this Friday, July 19th. This is a full-time position and they are looking for someone with extensive background in management & planning; artistic and creative programming; finance; development; and public and community relations.
A comprehensive job description can be obtained from our office here at the theater.
Interested parties can submit a resume and letter of interest to Steve Garvan, Board Chair, P. O. Box 1981, Sandpoint, ID 83864 or information can be dropped off at the theater.

NOTE: If you are doing any “Spring Cleaning”, please keep the Panida in mind. The Panida Events Committee is planning a “Back Yard Sale” and “Play It Again” music/film sale on Saturday, July 27th in conjunction with the downtown Sandpoint’s Crazy Days sale. Donations can be dropped off at the Panida or picked up by calling 255-7801.
Proceeds go to the Panida Theater Restoration fund and the Panida Theater Scholarship fund. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated.

“Before Midnight” – Global Cinema Café Series Thursday & Saturday, July 18 and 20

Nine years after Before Sunset, their highly-regarded sequel to Before Sunrise, director Richard Linklater reteams with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy for Before Midnight, which finds their characters together raising twin daughters. Jesse (Hawke) attempts to maintain a relationship with Hank, his teenage son from his first marriage, but their bond is strained even though Hank has just spent the summer with his dad and step-family. Meanwhile, Celine (Delpy) must make a difficult decision about her career. As with Before Sunset, Linklater, Hawke, and Delpy share credit for the screenplay. Before Midnight screened at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival as well as the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival.

Heavyweight rocker, boxer, painter and poet from Tupelo Mississippi, Southern Blues artist, Paul Thorn, has been at the top of the American Roots Music scene for close to a decade now. His music speaks to the everyday struggles of life in a way that few others can emulate. His latest album ‘What the Hell is Goin’ On’ has risen to the top of the Roots 66, Roots Music Report and Americana Music Association charts.
Thorn and his crack road band bring their tour to the Northwest with a set of shows starting Friday, July 19th in Sandpoint.
